Precautions when using white masterbatch
1. In order to reduce the fiber color difference after color matching, the white masterbatch should be diluted and the mixing ratio should be controlled. The filament should not be less than 3% to 10%, and the short fiber should not be less than 1% to 3%. , single-color expanded continuous filament is spun with three-color equipment. The white masterbatch must be input into the extruder after mixing. At the same time, in order to increase the mixing capacity of the melt itself, a mixing device can be added to the extruder section.
2. White masterbatch mixing method After the color formula of the colored yarn is determined, evenly dispersing the white masterbatch in the polypropylene slices before spinning is the key to ensuring product quality. There are two specific mixing methods. One is the gravity method and the volume method. After the white masterbatch is melted in the extruder or at the rear, it is injected into the polypropylene melt with a small extruder. The uniformity is very good.
3. When choosing white masterbatch, you should choose it according to the selection range. Polypropylene masterbatch is divided into fine denier grade and coarse denier grade. The coarse denier grade white masterbatch color cannot be used for fine denier grade color matching. The spinning color should be considered when matching. For the single filament denier of the fiber, choose white masterbatch of the same grade.
4. The white masterbatch should be from the same manufacturer. In order to reduce costs, high-concentration white masterbatch should be used. The pigments of white masterbatch are divided into high, medium and low grades. When color matching, different levels of white masterbatch should be appropriately selected according to the quality requirements of the fiber. In order to avoid the quality variation of the finished fiber caused by the different light and thermal stability of the pigments, the color of the white masterbatch that meets the fiber quality requirements and has the same light and thermal stability level should be selected when matching.
