Main classification of recycled PE

Based on performance, it is mainly divided into HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, and LLDPE;

1) HDPE has a density of 0.94~0.965, a crystallinity of 80%~95%, few branches, and a linear structure. Performance: It has high rigidity and toughness, excellent mechanical strength, heat resistance, solvent resistance, and steam permeability resistance.

Among all polyethylenes, HDPE has the lowest permeability, the strongest corrosion resistance, and good rigidity. It is mainly used for various pressure pipes, containers, injection molding products, etc.;

2) MDPE has a density of 0.926~0.94, a crystallinity of 70%~80%, and many and long branches. Performance: It has good flexibility and low temperature properties, and its slow Leven cracking and mechanical strength make it suitable for long-term pipes, conveying pipes, containers and packaging films;

3) LDPE has a density of 0.910~0.925, a crystallinity of 55%~65%, and has many branches of varying lengths. Performance: It has a low melting point, soft texture, low viscosity under high shear and high melt strength during stretching. It is mainly used in the production of agricultural films, heavy packaging films, etc.;

4) LLDPE has a density of 0.915~0.940, and its molecular structure is characterized by a linear main chain. It has no long branches and contains a small amount of short branches, so it has high crystallinity. LLDPE is mainly divided into 3 copolymers: C4 (butene-1), C6 (hexene-1), and C8 (octene-1). Performance: Compared with LDPE, it has the advantages of high strength, good toughness, good rigidity, heat resistance, and cold resistance. It also has good resistance to environmental stress cracking, tear strength, and is resistant to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. Mainly used for film, molding, rotational molding, pipes, wires and cables; anti-leakage ground film, large extruded sheets, etc.

Modified types of recycled PE

1) Recycled PE is appropriately mixed and granulated according to performance requirements. Such granules can be used to produce plates, films, wire drawing, agricultural drip irrigation pipes, blow molding containers, etc.

2) Flame retardant PE, which is also used in large quantities for building materials such as aluminum-plastic plates. One is to use halogen-free magnesium hydroxide or aluminum hydroxide system, the second is to use halogen-free magnesium hydroxide or aluminum hydroxide compound phosphorus system or bromine antimony system, and the third is bromine antimony system;

3) Glass fiber reinforced PE, mainly used to produce injection molded structural parts, extruded plates, etc.;

4) Cross-linked PE, through initiators;

5) Filled PE, by filling calcium carbonate, talcum powder, barium sulfate, conductive carbon black, etc., to produce materials for films, plates and pipes;

6) PA/PE alloy, used for bars, pipes, and films with high barrier requirements, etc.

Uses of recycled modified PE

1) Auto parts:

First, low-pressure HDPE blow molding air intake pipes;

Second, the production of automobile fenders, oil guards, and rearview mirror rubber pads that meet the requirements through recycled PE modification;

2) Production of agricultural irrigation tools, such as drip irrigation pipes, pipes, etc.;

3) Production of aluminum-plastic panels for construction;

4) Lower than PE/PA alloys, production of wear-resistant rods, pipes, etc.;

5) Production of fruit frames, floor panels, containers, etc.;

6) Production of sand-fixing nets, protective nets, etc. through wire drawing;

7) Production of pipes, hoses, etc. through PE cross-linking;

8) Production of grafted materials through reactions with maleic anhydride, etc.
