There are many types of plastic extruders, which are generally classified according to the types of extruded plastics. For example, pvc plastic extruder, pe plastic extruder, pp plastic extruder and eva extruder, etc. Today, this article will introduce the difference between eva and pe extruder.

The content of this article mainly includes the following points:

  • What is pe extruder?

  • What are the differences between pe and eva?

  • Why are eva and pe extruders different?

What is pe extruder?

PE plastic extruder can produce trunking, also known as trunking board, wiring trunking, line trunking (depending on the region), which is used to sort out the power line, data line and other wire specifications, and fix them on the wall or ceiling.

Features of pe extruder:

1. High output and low energy consumption.

2. Every gear in the hard tooth surface reducer is heat-treated and finely ground, and there is a forced refrigeration system inside to ensure high efficiency, low noise and long service life.

3. Screw main parameters, reasonable design, for different raw materials, do different products, the screw has different length diameter ratio and structure, to meet the needs of different customers.

5. The heating section of the barrel has two kinds of structures: grooved section and smooth section, which can meet the needs of different raw materials.

6. The screw and barrel are made of high-performance alloy steel, which has the advantages of wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high strength.

7. The whole machine has a compact and reasonable design, convenient operation and simple maintenance.

What are the differences between pe and eva?

1. The chemical composition is different

PE: it is composed of amorphous thermoplastic resin made from vinyl chloride monomer by the polymerization and certain additives (such as stabilizer, lubricant, filler, etc.).

EVA: eva is a high crystallinity, non-polar thermoplastic resin.

2. Different characteristics

PE: it is modified by blending with other resins, so it has obvious practical value. These resins include CPVC, ABS, EVA, MBS, etc. The melt viscosity of UPVC is high and the fluidity is poor. Even if the injection pressure and melt temperature are increased, the fluidity changes little.

EVA: the appearance of the original EVA is milky white, and it is translucent to a certain extent in the thin section. It has excellent resistance to most life and industrial chemicals. Some kinds of chemicals can cause chemical corrosion, such as corrosive oxidants (concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride).

3. Different uses

PE: water engineering, electrical engineering, construction engineering, sewer engineering, telecommunication engineering, shaft sinking engineering, natural gas engineering, chemical plant.

EVA: medium or high density polyethylene pipes of eva80 and eva100 grade shall be used for gas transmission; eva80 and eva100 grade medium or high density polyethylene pipes are usually used as water supply pipes.

Why are eva and pe extruders different?

The difference between pe and eva extruder is mainly determined by the difference between EVA and PE. PE plastic has good chemical stability, low water absorption, high rigidity, hardness and strength. EVA material has more rubber elasticity, bending resistance and stress cracking resistance, and can withstand greater load impact. PE and EVA are easy to adhere to the mold, easy to be thermal decomposition, and poor thermal performance. Therefore, they cannot use the same extruder. PEVA formed by the combination of EVA and PE has good softness and a little elasticity.

Eva and pe extruders have their own characteristics and advantages. Nanjing Hisilicon provides these two products. Of course, you can also customize them.
