1. Mechanical properties

Good formability, but high shrinkage rate, thick walled products are prone to indentation. The product has a good surface gloss and is easy to color.


3. Chemical stability

Polypropylene has good chemical stability, except for being corroded by concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid, it is relatively stable to various other chemical reagents. Low molecular weight aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated hydrocarbons can soften and swell PP. Its chemical stability also improves with the increase of crystallinity, so polypropylene is suitable for making various chemical pipelines and accessories, with good anti-corrosion effects.


4. Thermal performance

PP has good heat resistance, with a melting point of 164~170 ° C; The product can be disinfected and sterilized at temperatures above 100 ° C, without deformation at 150 ° C under external force. The embrittlement temperature is -35 ° C, and embrittlement occurs below -35 ° C.


5. Weathering resistance

Polypropylene is sensitive to ultraviolet rays, and adding zinc oxide, dimethyl thiopropionate, carbon black, or similar milky white fillers can improve its aging resistance.


6. Electrical performance

Polypropylene has excellent high-frequency insulation performance; It has a high dielectric coefficient and can be used to make heated electrical insulation products as the temperature increases; Its breakdown voltage is also very high, making it suitable for use as electrical accessories, etc. Good voltage resistance, arc resistance, and high static electricity; Contact with copper is prone to aging (commonly known as copper damage).
