How to adapt the process to the extruder equipment?

1. Different product requirements, different screw combinations

■ Sealing section: use small lead to prevent powder leakage;

■ Feeding, conveying and preheating section: use forced conveying and other components to compress the material from large to small lead;

■ Melting and mixing section: use meshing elements to melt and mix the blended system;

■ Exhaust port, downstream adding material section: use large lead to convey;

■ Downstream material mixing section: use meshing elements or toothed elements to disperse and distribute the blending system;

■ Vacuum volatilization section: use large lead to convey, easy to exhaust;

■ Metering and pressurizing section: use conveying elements to compress the blended system and output the melt to the machine head with a relatively stable pressure;

■ Reverse conveying or reverse shearing decompression is required before the vacuum port and exhaust port.

2. How to increase production capacity

For example: the mixer has been fixed, the production efficiency is low, and the production capacity is tight, how can the output per unit time be improved?

Solution: Increase productivity by changing screw combinations

3. Product shrinkage hole problem

Phenomenon: The material strip comes out of the mixer die and enters the water tank for cooling. Due to the shrinkage of the material, there are shrinkage holes in the middle of the particles. Some customers do not allow shrinkage holes.

Solution: Solve from the process flow, and prevent shrinkage holes from appearing through equipment transformation and process control.

■ Raw material adding position

■ Raw materials are added from the main feeding port?

■ The raw material is fed from the side feed port?

■ In which section is the side feeding port placed? (according to raw material characteristics)

4. Screw cooling

For some heat-sensitive materials, it may be necessary to cool the screw mandrel to ensure the smooth production of the product and the quality of the product.
